Penumbra Mental Health is a pioneering charity providing dedicated services for people experiencing mild to serious and enduring mental ill health. We have been working together for the last five years, supporting them to embed outcomes and impact, and to operationalise outcome tracking across strategy, programmes and services.

More recently, Penumbra Mental Health has come up with an innovative way of working in OutNav to make quality assurance more meaningful and practical for the 75 services they provide across Scotland.

Several benefits of working in OutNav are highlighted:

  • OutNav is simpler and more intuitive to use than Excel or other documents.
  • Each local service can upload and share relevant documents within the tool.
  • More managers now regularly log their progress on the quality assurance framework (up from 60% to 80% of services).
